Welcome to my Blog!
Take some time to look around. There are lots of cool things going on here. There is a Learning Journal for the 2nd grade students at Woodrow Wilson Elementary, a What's Happening section to keep parents and families up to date on what is going on, a Personal Thoughts section where you can learn about my feelings about teaching, a list of websites that I use all the time as a pre-service teacher, and a list of wonderful educational websites that are helpful to both teachers and students! I have also posted some pictures for your viewing enjoyment. I hope that you enjoy your time here! If you have something you would like to say or ask about, just leave me a comment and I will get back to you soon! Thank you! Julia Fischer

Learning Journal for the 2nd grade students!
On Thursday November 6 we had a lesson on economic services. These are work or duties done for us by another person or people. We pay money for them because we want or need them. To ask a question or make a comment on this lesson, then leave a comment for me on this post and I will get back to you soon!

On Wednesday November 5 we learned about economic goods. These are things that we can buy with money because we want or need them. They are objects we can touch or hold in our hand. To ask a question about this lesson, comment on this post and I will reply to your comment!

Learning Journal for the 2nd grade students!
On Tuesday November 4 we had an introduction to economics. We learned that when we are talking about economics, we are talking about money and all the different ideas that are addressed when we deal with money. If you have any questions about this lesson, then ask it in a comment for this post and I will reply to you as soon as I can!

What's Happening?
Here are some things that have been happening in my 2nd Grade class at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School!
We have been teaching economics lessons and so far we have learned about goods and services. We will soon be learning about producers and consumers.
We have been working hard on our reading. We have been improving a lot and getting much better.
We are also working hard in math. We have been learning about counting by tens! We sometimes use a number chart to help us, but we are learning how to do it on our own too. We have also been improving on addition and multiplication.
That's what has been going on this week. We will keep you posted and let you know What's Happening!

Personal Thoughts
I would like to share some of my personal thoughts on teaching. I believe that teaching is an extremely rewarding but demanding career. It requires a lot of hard work, caring, patience, and professionalism. I know that it will be challenging, but I think that I will be up to the challenge. I have been training to be a teacher for a long time now, and I am almost at the end of that journey and ready to begin my career as a teacher. It will be great to graduate and find a job as an educator. I feel that I am prepared for it now and I think that I can do an excellent job as a teacher. I will always do the best job that I can and I know that I will make mistakes, but I will try very hard to keep them to a minimum. Whatever the future holds, I am sure that I will be able to handle it and make the best of it. I am so excited to be a teacher and face the many challenges and rewards that my career has in store for me.
